Stamping Bella Bellarific Challenge Friday May 22nd

Sorry for not posting.... I've been away on a Miata trip to the US to the Lime Rock Race Track - even did a Parade Lap of the track. What fun! If you are interested, you can see the video that my husband downloaded on Youtube here. (I was the photographer - not bad for a little cheapy camera...)

Miata at Lime Rock Parade Lap

I haven't done anything new since last Friday, so here is the card I made for the last Bellarific Friday on Stamping Bella's Blog.

The challenge was to make a card following this sketch:

Here is my card:

This photo was taken outside in the sunshine, it's brighter but the shadows are funny....

I colored the image with Copics as usual and did a little stiching.

The greeting was done on the computer and the bubbles are from the Dollar Store.

Another Watercoloured Fifth Avenue Rose

I loved this technique so much that I did a few more cards right away.

This one was for a Sympathy card...

(click on image to view bigger).

It was coloured mainly with "pink reinkers", Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and Real Red, which I found out has very "fushia" base.

The card base is Baja Breeze cardstock. The rest is all the same from my previous post here.

Thanks for looking! Merci de votre visite.

SU Club Project for May

Here are the two projects that we did last week for our May SU Club.

I was very inspired by Patty Bennett's interpretation and tutorial video of the Fifth Avenue Rose. So beautiful!
We really enjoyed doing them at the Club get-together.

So here is my interpretation of the watercoloured Fifth Avenue Rose:

(Click on image to view bigger)

The stamp is Stampin'Up Fifth Avenue Florals (113734), stamped in SU White Craft Ink, then embossed with SU White Embossing Powder on SU Shimmer White CS.
The image is watercoloured with SU reinkers. I used: Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Pink Pirouette and retired Groovy Guava and another retired pale yellow (I need to get more reinkers....).

The card base is SU Pretty in Pink Cardstock, embossed with SU Sizzix Texturz plates Background #1 (diamonds).
The patterned paper is a Walk in the Park from the Occasions Mini and it is punched with the Martha Stewart lace border, because I have misplaced my SU eyelet border punch....

The ribbon is the new White Satin, also found in the Occasions Mini.

The beautiful white lined paper under the rose is SU Taste of Textiles (unfortunately, this patterned paper is not included in the current Buy 3 get 1 free patterned/cardstock special that Stampin'Up is having at the moment - but all the others are...).
This patterned paper was cut with SU exclusive Sizzix die Top Note.

The leaves (in SU Cardstock Kiwi Kiss) was cut with Sizzix Sizzlits Little leaves (114511).

That's it!

Now for our second project, we did a 8 x 8 scrapbook page.

(click on image to view bigger)

It still needs a photo and the "family" rectangle was just for reminding us about a title. I intend to diecut some letters in Kiwi Kiss to write the word "Family".

The background CS is SU So Saffron.  The patterned paper is SU Good Morning Sunshine (113966) brown and blue flowers and another pattern from the same package in yellow for the flower.  The green flower is kiwi kiss and cut with Sizllits Cut and emboss Flower blossom (114530).  The yellow flower is a Chipboard from the chipboard package Batch of Blooms.  The leaves were die cut in Kiwi Kiss with the Sizzlits die Birds and Blooms.  The bird was diecut in Choco Chip SU cardstock with the same Slizzlits die Birds and Blooms.
The green brad in the yellow flower is SU Kiwi Kiss curdory buttons (114338) and the brown brad is from the Jumbo Brads Neutral assortments (112533).
The photo mat is SU cardstock Pacific Point and the right edge is cut with the scallop edge punch from SU.

That's all!  Thanks for your visit!  Merci de votre visite!

CPS #116

It has been a while since I've done a card for the Card Positioning System challenge. This week (CPS #116)  is being sponsored by Bella Stamps. I should really have used a Bella Stamp, but I just finished coloring this Whipper Snapper Designs image, and it's pretty cute, so I though I'd use it. Besides, there is a Bella Challenge due for tomorrow, and I just received my new Bella Stamps, so I'll try to do a Bella card for tomorrow.

You can find the CPS challenge here.

This is the sketch:

This is my card - note that I have reversed the sketch sideways:

(Click on image to view bigger)

The image is Sofia by Whipper Snapper Designs, coloured with Copics and shaded with Prismacolor crayons.  I have raised it with foam dots (SU dimentionals).

The pink cardstock is SU Pretty in Pink and the yellow glittered cardstock is by DCWV.  So are the glittered pattern papers.

The yellow border is cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  The buttons are Basic Grey.

That's it!  Thanks for looking!  Merci de votre visite.

Cards from SU Club Swap

Here are the cards made by the ladies of my SU Club for our last get-together.

The theme was to make a Birthday card using buttons and ribbons.  Some of them forgot the buttons or ribbon, but the cards are all beautiful!

Friends / amies

On Tuesday, I was having a bad day... I decided to try to make a card to relax. Coloring is very therapeutic.  Well it was an upside down day.... even in my cardmaking...  Good thing it is a fixable booboo... I spent enough time on it... (I'll cut the front off and remount it on another blank card).

Here is the card the way it should look like....

The stamp is by Inky Antics colored with Copics and Prismacolor crayons, the patterned paper is Basic Grey Lime Rickey. The flowers are by Little Yellow Bicycle.

Bellarific Friday challenge

This is the card that I made for last week's Bellarific Friday challenge. You can go here on Bella's Blog to see all the other entries (I did not win :(

The stamp is Felix Ketto with a flower.  Since I don't have a cat, I goggled cat photos and tried to do something whimsical - not sure it worked! Then I ran into trouble with my saying, was just a little too narrow.... Oh well...

As usual, I colored the image with Copics, I sponged the background with orange ink.  I cut the image with Spellbinders circles.  I used my new little 6 x 6 pad of Basic Grey papers Lime Rickey - so colorful.  The yellow cardstock is SU yoyo yellow.

The saying is also a Bella stamp.  To finish off, I put gems in Felix' flower and little small ones in the circle of the paper.  I love bling!
