Gina K Designs Irises card

A little birthday card I made ....

I used the new StampTV kit by Gina K Designs. (Just click on the Stamp TV blinkie on the side panel to visit). It is a fun site, with videos, tutorials and lots of information.

I decided to use my Prismacolor and gamsol to colour these. I need practice!

Here is the card:

Swaps for Gina K Designs

Last month I did 2 cards for swaps on the Gina K. Designs Form on Splitcoast Stampers (for a new release party). I received lots of beautiful cards. These are the cards that I made:

I had already shown and described this card earlier on my blog here.

The second card was a purse card. Here is the outside look:

Gina K. Designs New Release Challenge

I am still feeling sick (bad cold that started on Friday - all through the preparations for Julie's party), but I pushed myself to do a few challenges. Here is the first one for Gina K. Designs New Release on Sunday night.

Here is the sketch:

The sketch is by Erica Martin, from the Gina K. Designs Design team.

Here is my version: (the greeting is not quite at the right place, but everything else is the same (artistic liberty I guess....)

I used my new Gina K. Designs stamp set Framed Flowers by Carolyn King. I colored the flowers and stems with my SU markers. I used orange and red on the flowers. I cut everything with my Nestabalities. Layered the stamped image on Basic Grey green two scoops and then on Basic Grey patterned paper Mellow. The orange border is also from the Basic Grey Mellow collection. I scalloped the edge of the orange paper with Fiskar scissors.

The greeting is also from the Framed Flowers set. It was stamped with black Palette ink. The flower was punched with a small EKSuccess punch and the gold brad is a "conch" I had in my stash....

Card using my new Gina K Designs stamps.

I did this card with one of the new stamp sets I just ordered from Gina K.  These are the ones designed by the very talented Carolyn King (Cammie).

Card to come back soon.....

I made this card for a swap, but when I showed my husband (before starting my production), he said that it looked a bit dull....
So I guess that I better start over with something brighter. Pressure, pressure....!

The card base is 5x7. I used one of the Framed Flowers by Carolyn for Gina K., Making Memories papers, Martha Stewart ribbons. The saying (Happy Birthday) is also from the same stamp set.

The border is made using a punch by Tonic with their border making template.

Thanks for looking! (Tell me if you think that it is dull or not...)

Recipe:

Stamps: Gina K. Designs Framed Flowers
