Transportation challenge (Caardvark)

The on-going challenge at Caardvarks is to make a card on a transportation theme. Since I am flying away soon, I thought about an airplane. This is not a stamp I use very often - not my favorite. Ah well, here is my card:

Gina K new stamps Release Colour Challenge

Carolyn King has posted a challenge for the new release on Monday at Gina K. Designs. You have to make a card using the colours Lovely lilac and Certainly celery (yo-yo yellow optional!) I don't have a Gina K. Design stamp yet (working on it...), so I used a Penny Black Stamp. Hope it's OK!

Beate Sketch Challenge WSC#37

I made this card for my friend Cheryl who is moving to Toronto, using Beate's last sketch challenge (WSC #37).

Here is my version:



Notice that I turned the sketch from horizontal to vertical and I made my card square. I am cleaning up my scrap/stamp room and I am discovering all sorts of goodies I forgot I had. I found those beautiful big square cards. They are 7x7 inches.
No more hoarding - I'm using them!!!

I used another Hero Arts Bouquet stamp. I think that when these came out a few years ago (they are marked 2003) I fell in love with them and I bought 5 or 6 different bouquets. Since I came back to my first love, stamping, then I'm discovering them again. Truly, I can't believe I haven't made a page in over a month!! But I've made many cards. Anyway, thanks for looking!

Ten years ago, I was working at Merck Frosst as an Admin Assistant in Research Administration. It was a stressful job, it had it's up and down, but boy do I miss the money and my Admin friends! Oh and it's also about the time when I discovered scrapbooking.

1 year ago - I was at The Decorated Page - giving lots of classes... and I was also spending lots of time with my Dad who was starting to feel sicker... (We sadly lost him in September...)

Stampin'Up January Club Meeting

These are the three projects I did for my Stampin'up group. Three was a little too long - next time we'll do two.... But it was fun though! We almost ran out of the chocolates before finishing the project, next time I'll have to buy double!

Thank you cards

My son asked me to do a Thank you card for him. He looked at other cards I had made and chose this design, but without the funny stamped girl he said (Hey that's my Bella he's talking about...). I guess not quite right for a 26-year old guy.

So I made two cards for him in the same design - he chose the blue one.
