Whipper Snapper Birthday Mouse

Wow shame on me for not posting for over a week. Did not have time to do many cards either.

Just a little quick one for my little niece Josée (she turned 21 and my card is late...). Bonne Fête Josée!

I had fun coloring this one!

So here are the details:

The stamp is from Whipper Snapper. It was colored with Copic markers. I added some Stickles glitter to the icing on the cake and in the mouse's hands.
The image and mat were cut with Nestabilities.
The flowers are Primas and the brads (from the little Nail Polish bottles - Queen's).
The ribbon is from Michaels.
The cardstock is Bazzill and the PP (I always forget and now it's downstairs....). Some Valentine PP I bought recently... Sorry.

To make the card a little different, I cut about an inch from the front and added a piece of white CS cut with a Martha Stewart Lace punch. I then glued the piece of PP cut from the front to the inside of the card. I like the effect (I saw this done on a new blog I found here. I really love what this lady does - love her style. I have added her to my list of blogs I visit. Go visit her!

People I Love Book

This is a little book I made for a class I gave last week at the Pierrefonds Library.

It is made with a CD mailer. I was inspired by a project done by Patty. The center pages are attached to a little accordeon.

The papers on the cover are Making Memories and the papers inside are oops can't remember.... will come back.

On the cover, I used the SU Top Note die, a Nestability die for the heart.

My brad was lilac, so I colored it with a marker and covered with Heat and Stick and Dazzling Diamond glitter.  The red strip was cut was SU scallop edge punch and stamped with an Hero Arts heart border stamp.  The text is computer generated and was cut with a Marvy scallop punch.  The ribbon is from the Paper Source from my trip to Washington in December.

The small hearts were punched with the new SU 3 hearts punch.

The big pink heart is cut with a Nestability die.

The corners were cut with a SU corner punch.

These two are my kids!  I'm so proud of them!

The pink rectangle is punched with a Marvy scallop punch.  The heart is again with a SU 3 hearts punch.  

And these two are my son Bobbie and his girlfriend Marissa.  She is a real sweettie!

And the photo on the right is almost all of my family and I'm very happy we could get together for a Christmas brunch.

This is my whole immediate family with our two sweetie dogs!  I love this photo, it was taken for Jim's birthday present last year.  I wrote a little note in the side pocket,  you can read it below if you want.

I'm hoping to have time to make one for each of my kids before Saturday.

Hero Arts Weekly Challenge- another card

Here is another card I made for the Hero Arts blog weekly challenge.

I used my new Hero Arts stamp. Love this scalloped circle stamp.

I colored it with Adirondak chalk ink and cut the image and the mat with Nestabilities.

I used My Mind's Eye patterned papers. The orange CS is Tango Tangerine from SU. The teal PP is cut with the SU Scallop Edger.

I covered the stamped image with SU Heat and Stick powder, heated it and then stuck SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter on top.
I love this all over glitter look!

The ribbon is Paper Trey Ink. The greeting and pearls are by Hero Arts.

HA Birthday week Challenge

Here is a manly birthday card for the Hero Arts weekly challenge: "Birthday week".

I find it so difficult to do a man's card. I tried to use stripes and manly colors, but I ended up putting some glitter. Jim said "glitter on a man's card? not really!", so I raised the cupcake over the glitter with foam dots.... you still can see a little peeking under the chocolate icing.....

the cupcake stamp is by Hero Arts... colored with Copic markers, the papers are KI from my stash. The card base is chocochip by SU, the greeting is also SU. The scalloped circles were cut with Nestabilities.

I also did a little bit of sewing all around the card with my Janome Mini.....

Stampin'Up Club Projects for January

We had a wonderful meeting on Friday night with my Club Ladies! They are the best! Thanks Francine T. for hosting!

These are the two projects we made:

We made a card: The technique demonstrated was to use Heat and Stick powder to add glitter all over our image (the two little birds). We also used the new 3 hearts punch for the hearts on the bottom right. The paper is the new Raspberry. So gorgeous! Every single sheet in the pack is gorgeous!

I found this cute little pouch while surfing the web and can't remember where... Sorry about that.
It is made with the Sizzix Petal envelope die. I used 2 envelopes and a piece of cardstock 2 x 5 to create the bottom of the pouch! We filled a little cello bag with chocolates and closed it with the silver elastic thread.

Stamped images are from the new Bundle of Love from SU.

I'll come back tomorrow to fill in all the colours, inks and stamps used.
