Happy Birthday Julie

Here is another card that I haven't shared.... Julie's birthday which was on April 24th!!

The front of the card is a variation of the Roses card I made previously here.  I just did the same but made it in purple colours.

For the inside, I used a kit that I had received as a bonus in a class by Karen Burniston, for Sizzix.
It is a Pop-up and it uses the Christmas tree die as the pop-up frame.  It has been cut out of a transparency, so it is not supposed to show.  The bird cage is the Tim Holtz Birdcage cut many times and modified to fit where the Christmas tree pieces should fit (cutting slits and trimming).  I have to admit that it wasn't too easy to do but it was my first time... Only Karen can figure out projects like - she is truly amazing!  I think I will try again, but I might use acetate instead of a transparency... We will see.  In case you would like the instructions to do this, there is a video by Karen... I don't have the link right now, but if you would like it, email me and I will look for it.... So here is the card, front and inside....
