Baby card

Here is a quick little Welcome Baby card.... for the same baby as for the Christening card just before this post....

Details:

The card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2".  The patterned paper is from a Baby pad, from My Mind's eye.
The card stock (blue) is by Stamping UP.
The stamp is from (sorry I'm not sure) I think from Heather's stamps in Ottawa. (The stamp is buried somewhere on my desk.... oops).
The "welcome baby" is from Stampin'Up.
The image was coloured with Copic markers.
The starts come from a border punch that was used on the inside.  It is by Martha Stewart.  It is a magnetic punch so that you can stamp anywhere on the page (and also make borders).
I put a little bit of glue and glitter on the stars.
The little rectangles were both cut with Nestabilities dies.
The cute little blue moon is from a Jolee stickers pack (by EK Success).

Christening card

Another card I had not shared.  Don't worry I still have more CHA to share, but it's too hot to sit in front of the computer for too long.... (it's 29 degrees at 6:00 pm)....

This is a Christening I made for my son's little Godson...

I had made a similar card many years ago, so I basically just copied my own design.

Details:

The stamps are by PSX (this company no longer exist - I've had these stamps for a long time).
The image was coloured with Copic markers.
The patterned paper is from a baby pad from My Mind's Eye (old also).
The card stock are from DCWV.
The card base is thick watercolour paper.
The image and mat on the front of the card were die cut with a Label 8 Spellbinders die.  The rectangle is also a Spellbinders Label die.  The pearls are by Stampin'Up.  The cross is by Jolee (EK Success).
The ribbon is Stampin'Up Seam binding.
The decorative border inside is by Martha Stewart.  It is from a Christmas trim pack.

Make-n-take at Bonnidée this Saturday

Saturday at Bonnidée, I will be doing this make-n-take:

Happy Birthday Julie

Here is another card that I haven't shared.... Julie's birthday which was on April 24th!!

The front of the card is a variation of the Roses card I made previously here.  I just did the same but made it in purple colours.

For the inside, I used a kit that I had received as a bonus in a class by Karen Burniston, for Sizzix.
It is a Pop-up and it uses the Christmas tree die as the pop-up frame.  It has been cut out of a transparency, so it is not supposed to show.  The bird cage is the Tim Holtz Birdcage cut many times and modified to fit where the Christmas tree pieces should fit (cutting slits and trimming).  I have to admit that it wasn't too easy to do but it was my first time... Only Karen can figure out projects like - she is truly amazing!  I think I will try again, but I might use acetate instead of a transparency... We will see.  In case you would like the instructions to do this, there is a video by Karen... I don't have the link right now, but if you would like it, email me and I will look for it.... Inside:  Sizzix Christmas tree pop-up, Sizzix/Tim Holtz birdcage and bird, Bazzill shimmer card stock, transparency, background patterned paper: DCWV, Diecut for text:  Sizzix/Tim Holtz die, piece of wire, chain and ring for birdcage chain (all Tim Holtz products).

My daughter Julie is travelling to Spain... I know my kids are real jet setters aren't they... I don't know where there they get it from.. :)

I made this card for her with a few Euros inside before she left.... (Poor Baby has caught "La Tourista" while visiting Morocco... what a painful end to a beautiful trip...).

I covered the raised plane and the Bon Voyage with Gel Pens to give an extra dimension.
Cardstock is Stampin'Up Kraft (Crumb Cake).

Julie Ebersole, Hero Arts Booth, CHA 2012

Here is another person I was so happy to meet for the first time!  The sweet and talented Julie Ebersole. She was doing the make-n-take for Hero Arts.  She is such a nice Lady!  I have been reading her blog regularly.  She has such a sense of humour and her video are so well made, always with that laugh of hers! She makes me laugh every time.

Even though I met her for the first time, she made me feel like a friend.

When I got behind the table to have my photo taken your Julie, I knocked out part of the booth wall down (oops....).  Julie and another sweetheart, Lisa Spangler struggled to put to booth back together... Sorry for the trouble Ladies....

Karen Burniston - CHA 2012

Here is another person that I always love to meet at CHA.  Karen Burniston!  She makes all the pop-ups and intricate dies for Sizzix.  I tell you this woman's brain is special.  She does intricate stuff from simple to very detailed (re her pop-up cake die) and it all fits together so well.  She is amazing, ingenious and a very nice and funny person too!

Karen has introduced a lot of new dies at this CHA.  They will be available in October.  Hopefully, I can plan on making some classes with them.  She has done many new Pop-ups and coordinating dies.

Ranger / Tim Holtz CHA 2012

I had the pleasure of meeting Tim Holtz again at CHA last week.  He has such a great personality.  No wonder why he is so popular!

CHA SUMMER 2012

Just came back from CHA in Chicago.  So tiring, but so inspiring!  So many nice things and projects to see!  (and some very nice people too!).

I was so lucky... I won a prize in one of my classes (a nice Calendar stamp set), but I also won the Spellbinders grand prize!  10 Spellbinders die sets (I guess about $300 worth of dies).  Lucky me eh!!!
Here is a photo of my pile of dies... (and they are all new dies, not released yet...) Woohoo!

Birdhouses class at Bonnidée

Here is a set of cards for another class at Bonnidée.  This class will be on Sat 28th and Tue July 31st.  Call the store at 514-694-1184 if you are interested in attending.

These cards are done with the new Impression Obsession stamp sets and dies.  The card base is in the shape of a little house.

These are so much fun to make, I hope you will join me if you can!

The first and second cards were designed by Impression Obsession, I just changed the colours a bit and used different inks.

The third card is my own creation.  That tree is fun to make and uses stamp for the Impression Obsession Tree stamp set.
