Bonne Fête Catherine!

Mon fils Bobbie célèbre son 30ème anniversaire de naissance cette semaine.

A la fête surprise qu'on a fait pour lui la semaine dernière, son amie Catherine qui elle célébrait son anniversaire cette journée là, l'a invité pour venir célébrer avec elle.  Mais la surprise était qu'on était tous là pour lui !  Quelle belle surprise!

Voici la carte de fête que j'ai faite pour Catherine (on pouvait quand même pas ignorer sa fête complètement!) :

Détails:

La base de la carte (environ 7 1/2 x 10") est du carton aquarelle épais (Carson).

Le papier à motif de roses est de K & Co. (St-Valentin).

Le petit gâteau a été coupé avec la matrice Sizzix pro Cupcake.

Le glaçage (brillant) est du papier Glitter de Best Creations (GCS064 Diamond)

La base du gâteau est SU Pink Pirouette et le carton rose-rouge (Bazzill) pour l'enveloppe du gâteau a été ondulé avec un outil "crimper" de Fiskars.

Le "Happy Birthday Catherine" a été imprimé à l'ordi et coupé avec le gros punch Oval de Stampin'Up.

Les crystaux sont de Stampin'Up aussi.

Le ruban rose vient de ma collection (Paper Source - acheté à Washington, DC).

Les chandelles ont été découpées avec la même matrice que le petit gâteau.  Les flammes ont été couvertes de Stickles Christmas Red et Star dust (sur le côté de la chandelle).

Le glitter sur les roses est à même le papier.

Bella Stamps

I have a new card to share.  It is a Birthday card I made for my pretty niece Josée.

My friend Josée showed me her new Bella stamps, the Uptown Girls (you can see the whole collection on Stamping Bella's here.)  The one I used is Uptown Girl POSH has a present.

I really like those Uptown girls.  I will surely be adding them to my collection!

Details:

The image Uptown Girl POSH has a present. (LL131) by Bella Stamps was stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and colored with Copic markers.
Then I added fine Stampin'Up Dazzling Glitter here and there (with a Quickie Glue pen).
The background paper is DCWV (4.5 x 6.5" pad) called The Spring Glitter matstack.
The pink and cardstock are also DCWV.
The greeting is by Stampin'Up and was stamped with Memento Lilac Posies ink.  It was cut with Memory Box die called Primo Labels (#98139).
The ribbon is Fuchsia pink satin ribbon from The Paperie (in Florida).
The card base is heavy Watercolour paper and the card is approx. 5 x 7".

Bonne Fête Chère Lucienne

Voici une carte que j'ai fait pour une amie qui célèbre ses 60 ans.  Bonne Fête ma chère Lucienne!

Encore une fois, je me suis inspirée d'un vidéo de Jennifer McGuire pour Hero Arts.

Voici la carte:

L'étampe de fleur est de Hero Arts (S5482- Ruffled Flower)), embossée à chaud avec de la poudre blanche, puis colorée avec les Distress Inks de Ranger (Tumbled Glass et Sapphire Blue) puis vaporisée avec les Perfect Pearls dilués dans l'eau. J'ai étampé 2 fleurs et j'ai utilisé une fleur au complet et seulement la partie centrale de la 2ème.  Je les ai placées une sur l'autre avec des petits carrés de mousse (foam dots).

Les feuilles sont étampées sur du carton vert et embossées en blanc.

Le fond est couvert par les petits pois de Hero Arts qui j'ai couvert de Glossy Accents.
j'aime beaucoup l'effet!(une autre idée de Jennifer McGuire).

Le Bonne Fête vient de chez Bonnidée et est étampé en noir (Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink).

Les perles sont de Stampin'Up!.

Le carton bleu est un carton Stardream.  Le bleu plus pâle (pour le souhait) est de Stampin'up et j'ai distressé les bords avec l'encre Distress.

One more.... :)

In my last post, I said new cards (with an "s") and only showed one, well here is another one.
OK I know, nothing for 3 weeks, then 2 on the same night.... (and I might even surprise you with a 3rd one... :)

So this is another one I did for Julie (thanks Julie I appreciate the requests.. :) )... and to get my MOJO back (after cleaning my desk), I listened to a Jennifer McGuire video and it helped a lot to get me going... so Thank you Jennifer for the inspiration!!!

Here is the card - a French birthday card...

Let's start with the flower (Hero Arts wood stamp Ruffled Flower S5482).
It was stamped with Versamark ink, then embossed with white powder.
Next, I colored the flower with Distress inks (Broken China and Chipped Sapphire) and sprayed the whole flower with a mixture of Perfect pearl and water.  Let dry thoroughly.
(Notice that I did 2 flowers - for the second one, I only used the smallest flower in the center).
When dried, I cut out the flowers and glued the small one over the larger one with Stampin'Up! dimensionals.
Then I covered the center with tiny Hero Arts pearls.

The flower itself was applied with more dimensionals on a Medium blue Stardream CS cut with a Scalloped circle Nestabilities  die.

For the card base:
White Canson watercolour paper (6 x 6")
Green CS:  American Designs
Blue and striped PP:  8 x 8 Citrus stack  from DCWV

The striped part was cut a Nestabilities Paisley  die.

The label is also Nestabilities (Labels trio)  die.  The stamp (Bonne Fête) is by Stampin'Up (Quelque chose à fêter).  The label was attached to the ribbon with a piece of plain string.

The ribbon is wired - Kate's Paperie (I got it somewhere in the US).

Stampin'Girls event Ottawa May 2010 - Big WIN!

At the end of May, I attended a Stampin'Up event in Ottawa with my 2 downlines and a friend.  We had lots of fun.  We met in person the one and only "Andrea Walford".  She gave a very nice presentation and did a few cards for us.

I participated in the Wow 3D swap for the event.  Had to make 26 of the same item.  I made this little bird house with a Stampin'up Sizzix die, the milk can.  All supplies are Stampin'Up.

Here is my box of 26 bird houses.

I swaped them for 26 different items.  I'll show them in a separate message.

I also made a few cards to swap.  Here is my card:

And the big SURPRISE!!!:  My card was selected as "Best swap card".
I won a $25 gift certificate.  Isn't that amazing!  I was so surprised!!!!

Bonne Fête Karine!

C'était la fête de ma filleule Karine la semaine dernière.  Elle a eu 20 ans!!!  Ca me rajeunit pas ça!

Elle a un bel amoureux....

Alors voici la carte que j'ai faite pour Karine... J'aurais dû mettre son amoureux aux cheveux bruns comme le vrai....

C'est une image de Stampavie, colorée avec les marqueurs Copics. Je crois que les papiers sont de Making Memories (pas sûre) - les cartons sont de Stampin'Up.  Le ruban aussi (certainly celery).  Les crystaux (blings) sont de K & Co.  J'ai utilisé les Nestabilities pour couper les formes ovales et le support dessus et dessous la photo.
