Scapbook Page Eliana - Hero Arts Challenge

A scrapbook page for this week's Hero Arts Diecuts challenge.

The cutie in the photo is my niece Emilie's little daughter Eliana.

Here are the details of the page:

The Hero Arts blog challenge called for Diecuts and stamps, especially diecuts from Quickutz.

I used the large bracket from Quickutz. I cut it in Bazzill pink shimmer CS. (on left of page)

I cut the letters and butterfly with my Cricut machine.

The letters were cut in Stampin'Up! Rose Red cardstock, then overstamped with Hero Arts Polka Dots mini stamps (LL966).

The 3 flowers around the photos were stamped with Versafine ink and the stamps are Hero Arts Fancy Flowers LL946. The pearls are also by Hero Arts.

The butterfly (cut with Cricut) was cut from Bazzill pink Cs and oversprayed with Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Old Rose. The bling is from Kayser Krafts and the bubbles are from the Dollorama.

The border in the middle of the page was cut with Martha Stewart Lace Border punch. All 3 papers are by K & Co.

The ribbon is Papertrey Inc.

June StampinUp Club Swap

We had another very nice SU Club meeting last night.
The theme for our swap card was to use a background stamp or to have a stamped background on our card.

Here is my card. My stamped background was made using a small wheel many times across the page.

Hero Arts Blog Challenge June 7th

I have been too busy lately to participate in the Hero Arts Blog Challenge, but I took the time tonight. The challenge was to use a background stamp in a different way. I used the background stamp (S5135 Outline Flowers) as a background, but I also took some individual flowers to use as focal point of my card.

This is for sure my favorite background stamp. I stamped it with Hero Arts Shadow Ink on Stampin'Up Pink Pirouette Cardstock. The brown CS is also SU in Chocolate Chip.
I stamped some individual flowers from the background on White CS with SU Craft Whisper White ink and I embossed them with white embossing powder.
Then I misted the surface of the embossed flowers with water and using a waterbrush and die ink reinkers, I colored the flowers. Next, before they were dry, I sprayed the flowers with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Antique Rose. I let everything dry completely, then I cut out the flowers. The ribbon is SU Regal Rose. The brown border was cut with a Martha Stewart Border punch. The shimmer white on the background flowers and around the colored flowers center is the new white pearl paint??

Stampin'UP! butterflies Thanks

Here is card entirely Stampin'Up (to say thank you to a future hostess...).

I have used the beautiful Parisian Breeze Paper and Baja Breeze cardstock (soon to be retired = too bad, I just love that blue).

The butterflies have been stamped in Chocolate Chip brown craft ink and embossed with Iridiscent Ice embossing powder.
The corduroy button is Baja Breeze and the punches are SU large oval and scalloped oval. The greeting is a SU mini kit, and sorry to say to it will be retired also. Too bad, it was a good buy.

Bellarific Friday May 29th

I haven't been a very good poster lately. Came back from Connecticut last week, spent Friday preparing for my Saturday class. Spent the whole day doing the 2 classes on Saturday, then left immediately for Toronto to pick up furniture at my BIL's. Thought I could take the time to stop by the Bella Store, but we left too late....

So all that to stay that I haven't been making many cards.... Did some coloring in the car though, so hopefully I'll be able to put new cards together soon.

The last card I made was for the Bellarific Friday on Stamping Bella's Blog.

Here is my card:

I colored the image using Copics, and I applied the glitter using Linda Heavens' technique, with a fine glue pen. I really like the look.
