Old Fashioned recipe book

I'm giving a class tomorrow at my local stamp shop. It is an Old Fashioned recipe book made with Graphic 45 papers.

Each student is bringing a recipe for it. Should be fun!

Pure Innocence

I just discovered a new digital stamp company... Love their "Pure Innocence" images. I found them on this wonderful card marker's blog: Donna Mikasa.

I love digital images, because you can make them the size that you want....

This is another card to send to Jennifer McGuire for her Sick children card drive:



The stamp is by Heather Ellis.
All the papers, ribbon, cardstock are by Stampin'Up. The buttons are Making Memories. The saying is by Hero Arts.
The image was colored with Copics and the dress was paper pieced with Stampin'Up pattern paper.
I shaded over the paper with copic markers.

Challenge card for Virginia L.

Virginia, whom I met on the Hero Arts Blog, is having a challenge on her blog

This is the card that I made - I also made it to send to Jennifer McGuire for her sick kids card drive.

The stamp is a very old Penny Black, colored with Copics on K & Co. patterned paper.

The orange felt flower is by WeRMemoryK. The ribbon is from my stash and the saying is an Hero Arts stamp. The border is cut with Fiskar border punch.

Swap card Club Meeting

As promised yesterday, I took a photo of the swap card that I received from Josée Ste-Marie. So cute! Merci Josée.

I don't know if it shows, but the little cupcake is covered in glitter.

Stampin'Up swap and birthday cards

The swap card I made for our last Club meeting and Francine P.'s Birthday card.

Bonne Fête Francine!

The stamp set is from the new Occasions catalogue.
The paper is from the Level ! Hostess gift pack.
The ribbon is So Saffran gros grain.
The butterfly and saying are from the set: Flight of the butterfly.
and the green cardstock is cut with the Sale-A-bration free gift scallop border punch.
(Ask me how you can get one or other stamp sets for free...)

Here is my swap card. The theme was one colour only besides white and no pattern paper - but I missed that part and used patterned paper - Sorry Arlene.

And I forgot my camera, so I don't have photos of the other swaps cards to show... send me photos if you have them Ladies and I will post them. As a matter of fact, I'll take a photo of the swap card I received and post it....



The hearts are cut with Nestabilities.
The ribbon is new from the mini Occasions catalog (real red satin ribbon)
The border is cut with the same free border punch (Sale-a-Bration)
The stamp is from the main catalogue (name ...)
and the Epoxy brad with the red heart is also from the new Mini Occasions catalog.
The pattern paper also comes from the Level 1 Hostess pack.

SU Club projects for January

Hello everyone! Tonight was Stampin'Up Club night. Another fun evening with my favorite crafting friends. (Désolée que tu ne pouvais être là Francine!) Thanks Arlene for having us - These little chocolates were delicious.... yummy!

These are the projects that we did:



This is a step card. Just love those. Have made a few already this week....Isn't the chef so cute with his tray of hearts! I saw this idea on a few cards on the web. I paper pieced his pants and scarf (I really like the effect this gives) and I put him on the Sizzix scallop circle.

Here are the supplies:
Stamp sets: A Happy Heart 111758, I (Heart) Hearts 118571, Voila (Chef)
Sizzix dies: Clear Circle and Scallop Circle, Dots Texture plate
Papers and Cardstocks:
Patterned paper: Sending Love Specialty 117153 (Occasions Mini 2010)
Cardstock: Real red and Pretty in Pink CS, White (heavy) CS for card base
Ink: Classic Real Red, Stazon for Chef
Markers: Blush Bloosom, Sahara Sand, Basic Black
Glue: 2way pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter Punches: Word window and 3 hearts punch
Big shot machine for Sizzix dies.

The second project is a scrapbook page:



I used the new stamp set from the Occasions catalog (Vintage Vogue).
And I found out that the larger flower matches the Sizzix die exclusive to Stampin'Up called Bird and blossoms.
It is a little difficult to fit in, even with the Stamp-a-mig... I need practice.
I also need to get a photo for this - I forgot my camera at home tonight....

Stampin'Up Club November Project

I just realized that I forgot to blog our November project.

As usual, we did a Scrapbook page. I saw the resist technique on a website, sorry can't remember which one....
You stamp the tiny dots with Versamark, then you brayer the dark ink over the top. (I used 2 colours of dark ink).
The moon is a punched out circle on a post-it note. You brayer over the post-it note. When all the brayering is done, you remove the post-it note to reveal the moon and with a paper towel, you wipe the ink all over the dots. (Sorry for the glare, the top portion of the page is stamped on glossy cardstock).



The 2 larger snowflakes are punched out and the smaller is a felt snowflake from last year's Christmas mini. The papers are also retired from last year's mini.

The second project (I forgot to take a final picture, so this is a bit rough). It is a box with Christmas tags. I saw many versions of the same idea on the web. I did my own measurements and thanks to Josee S. we had an acrylic cover (just a little smaller than the box) for our cover. We tied the cover on with a beautiful real red gros grain ribbon. The tags are from different SU stamp sets, one of which is still available as an hostess set from the SU main catalog.

Happy New Year card

Here is a card I made with a digital image. It was the first time that I used a digital image and I really liked it. You can print the size that you want and the ink did not blead when I colored with my Copics (actually I used my tria alcohol markers because they were on my desk :) ).

Stampin'Up has a digital software with all stamps images, but unfortunately, they will not sell it to residents of Quebec. I am very upset about this and feel very left out. And now that I have discovered other digital stamps company, I am even more frustrated.... Anyway, I've complained to them many times.....

This card was made partly with Stampin'Up supplies: the pretty pink Cardstock for the base of the card. The paper is old Basic Grey patterned paper. The border is cut with the very new punch that you get for free from Stampin'Up in the Sale-a-Bration campaign which has just started. Email me if you want more details. SU Club December gifts exchange

As I mentioned in my previous message, one of our SU monthly Club project for December was to do a homemade gift for the person's whose name we picked. So many beautiful and creative projects! We should do this every month.... just kidding... I know how much work this was for everyone - especially at this busy time of the year!

I had picked Christine's name. I made her an Origami box and I put my homemade fudge in it.

The paper is the same that I used for the Club project, it is a discountinued SU Christmas paper.

The is the gift that I received from Francine T. A beautiful had stamped porcelain ornament. So delicate and pretty!

Christine made a pretty personalized box for Susan. She put some goodies inside, but I can't remember what it was....



Francine P. painted a pretty box and a silver spoon for Arlene. So original and pretty.
(We can tell Francine is an experienced "tole painter". )







And last, but not least, Amy's beautiful gift box to Josee A? silly me I should have written it down....
What a pretty Magnolia girl! I can't remember what goodies she put inside!

SU Club December project

I know this is very late.... but it's a start....

We had a little Christmas gift exchange at our last Club meeting, so we decided to do only one project instead of the regular 2 to leave time for exchanging our gifts. I'll show you the gifts in my next message... So many beautiful things!

Here is the project that we made. It is a Tri-Shutter card. There are many places on the web with instructions on how to do those. If you need instructions, just email me.

All the supplies are from Stampin'Up. The paper I used is discontinued (last year's Christmas paper). So are the felt snowflakes.
